Rs.2765 Million Primary Gas Insulated Sub-Station Expansion Project in South Goa, Goa
Executive Summary: Siemens is undertaking an expansion project at its facility in Verna Industrial Estate, Verna, Salcete, South Goa. The initiative focuses on increasing the production capacity of its Primary Gas Insulated Sub-Stations (GIS) from 1,200 to 1,800 units per annum, and Secondary GIS from 5,000 to 15,000 units per annum. Additionally, the expansion includes setting up production for 250 Compact Sub-Stations and 150,000 components annually, such as switching devices and drives. The project, aimed at strengthening Siemens' capabilities in advanced electrical infrastructure manufacturing, is estimated to cost ₹2,765 million.
